Personal Pity RANT
Just a quick personal pity party rant and I'll get back to work.
I just got a rewrite from a DS editor. I don't mind the occasional rewrite for clarity, but when a CE has written the equivalent of a complete article
rewrite in their comments, they can't possibly expect a writer to take them seriously and not be completely PISSED OFF. I have been working steady for
weeks, trying to catch up on bills and I am frustrated. I will be letting this article expire and it kills me, but I obviously am not going to rewrite
this article. I can tell that nothing I write will please this editor. The other frustration I am dealing with is the approval time. For so long, they
were sliding through approval in less than a day, sometimes within a few hours. Now, they are taking a couple of days to be approved and it keeps
getting worse. The last few paydays have not been what I planned on, because articles aren't moving. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!
Thanks for listening (reading).

I hear ya! When an editor can't make it clear what they want and then jerk a writer around as if our time is just spent slavering in anticipation of
being bashed on the head... well... I feel your pain.

What drives me crazy beyond that are the approved articles that then sit is the paid pile but not approved for payment through two or three pay
periods while you desperately need the money NOW. I am sweating buckets that my cell will get cut off in the next few days while I wait for that
money.

The approval time has gotten longer and another thing I noticed is that there haven't seemed to be many Strategy and About articles. I used to have
an option to write for "Pluck On Demand" and I wrote a ton for them and it's not there anymore. Hope nothing is going wrong over there!
I had a re-write last week that was the same way - basically was told to rewrite the whole article from two different points of view and it was
confusing so I just let it go.

I'm sorry Cyndee. I know how you feel too. Things will start looking up, they always do. I have been so worried about bills and stuff too, this month
I am trying to write full time, lol that doesn't seem to be working with my kiddos keeping me so busy!
