Evening All
My name is Lamar and I'm a 27 year old college senior. I've always enjoyed writing and for a long time my main outlet for that has been the roleplay
community but I've decided to try and take that energy and direct it towards a somewhat more productive medium.
I mainly write fiction short stories and a bit of poetry though I hope to finish a novel by the end of this year.

Welcome aboard, Lamar.

I've been an on-and-off roleplayer for... egads... about 20 years now. We're glad to have you here.
The critique section is a great place to post if you're looking for honest feedback on your writing. The password is password. It keeps the search
engines off.

Hi and welcome, Lamar. You'll probably like our short story contests each month. Money prizes and publication in an anthology as prizes. What's not to
like?

Welcome into our realm! Now, roll the ten-sided - oh, never mind.
I seemed to be looking down from an immense height upon a twilit grotto, knee-deep with filth, where a white-bearded daemon swineherd drove about
with his staff a flock of fungous, flabby beasts whose appearance filled me with unutterable loathing.

Yes, I love it when people give me their honest opinion on my writing, even if it honestly sucks. Lol
Oh wow, I'll definitely have to check out those contests. I've been meaning to start writing more to build up a portfolio. Am I too late for this
month?

Lamar, you have until the end of March to enter a story based on the theme "Endless Love". Next month's theme is Anger.

Welcome Lamar, I hope you enjoy the forum! We have a password protected critique section to download stories and such that is protected from the eyes
of the bots... it keeps our work from being considered published. The password is password.

Welcome to the board! If you want some motivation and support in getting that novel written, be sure to check out LAFFN (http://accentuatewriters.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=89) and NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org).
I’m sure you’ll find us to be a warm, friendly, helpful group…oh, and fun, too!
Something you might find really exciting here is that we have short story contests with cash prizes and publishing contracts in our print anthologies.
It’s a great motivator to get you writing, and we all cheer each other on.
Here’s a thread you should definitely visit as soon as possible—it tells you all about our contests on the board, other opportunities for submissions,
cool features of the board and more! It'll also tell you about secret, private parts of the forum not everyone can get to without permission, and how
to access password locked sections of the board as well.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask... if I can't answer it, someone else probably can!
Enjoy your stay! Keep writing!
