Dreams I can't remember in the middle of the night
filled with things of horror that chase me for my life
What they want I do not have, and neither do I know
In my sleep I wander to places with no name
wrestling with the shadows of storms that pour down rain
breathing hard I scream but, no one seems to hear
Lost within a universe where things are not the same
I concentrate on rescue, a way to just escape
Dark & ruthless beings suck happy thoughts away
thriving on their evil, they will take away your soul
with power so amazing you cannot break their hold
The first thing that they do to you is kill off all your hope
One secret will defeat them as they terrorize your dreams
Turn away, don't look at them, reach deep down indside
refuse to be defeated, speak truth into their lies
The very thing that beats them is exposing them to light
In the very last of seconds as the clock is ticking down
A hero to the rescue, when no one else was found
One hand makes the creatures run, frightened to no end
The other hand, it brings you home as morning lights the dawn
Waking up you find it was only in your dreams
Neither can you call back the slightest memory
