WOW, does that mean that all this time of getting my account at Mahalo finally up over $100 but not at the $150 to FINALLY be able to cash out is in vain???

Does it mean that I will LOSE all that money and it will just "go away"? How legal is that???

How can they get away with such a decision???

Is there anything we can do to insist that we get paid what we have earned????

I have only answered questions and never got into pages and am sure glad, now, that I didn't -- sounds like a lost cause.

Gee, whiz!!!

Jackie

Jackie...write to Mike Bracco. They were talking about MAYBE making allowances for people that were close, but other than that they said you could spend it in their store. Some of the writers are also talking about starting a charity in the store so that we could all donate our $ and then have it disbursed to us. Either way, Mahalo benefits.

I wonder who Elizabeth is, I don't know any member named Elizabeth and I am pretty sure I know many of the important members. I am still debating whether I should finish the rest of my tasks. They're topic I am really not interested it and right now, it doesn't seem to worth the bother.

ummm..she's an "adult" with a childish mindset?
As for completing tasks, if it helps you to cash out then I say go for it. If not, why bother?

I'm curious about something else. Since the pages will be entirely community owned, does the author of them even get shown as the author?

I dont need more money to cash out. I know I should push myself to write, but I just lost all motivation. Making How to make chuck roast and the like is not easy. 3 recipes, each with 3 references, introduction, tips, video. aghhh...

Right! I know they can turn a simple recipe into a long drawn out 900 word process lol.

I don't know what this is all about, but making 7 bucks an hour is humiliating to any writer. I didn't feel humiliated, though, when I finally listened to a great number of requests to lower the reasonably high price of my 36 E book package down to 40 from 200 smackaroos. It deserves a far wider readership than it has ever yet gained.

Mahalo should be under the "Warnings and Scams" sections.

You don't know what it's all about, but you might as well use it as an excuse to slip in a sales pitch, eh?

Michy - Oops! My bad. Usually if it says the "M-Word" I just ignore it. Musta missed that. :)

Jen - LOOOOOLZ! That was funny right there.

I agree Jenn. That was kind of a cheesy way to pitch huh?

Huh ? I'm kind of bittersweet upon "pitching" then. My point was that 7 roaches an hour for whatever is simply outrageous. I used to walk dogs for $ 15, or picked up cans in NYC for 5 hours, with a degree, rounding 50 bucks. But then I worked for free in a catholic soup kitchen run by an Arnold Swarzenegger studio agent. I think the $ 7 joke or reality is really good. It entertains us, doesn't it ? You wouldn't believe my last year record I just can't break, 18 hundred in 14 hours, for my crazy E books and knowhow included, would you ? Believe me, nobody has tried to kill me for that, hate, yes, bash, yes, love, no, lol !

The point is, again - do not spam this board by repeatedly pimping your book - the same I said to you in your introduction - if you're not going to contribute in a meaningful way to the board without always referring to your ebook, this might not be the best board for you. You have mentioned your ebook in every single post you've made. We're tired of hearing about it - at this point, even if I were completely interested in your book, I wouldn't buy it just because you're spamming the board with it.

If you would like to learn more about writing and share those experiences here with others, great. Please don't try to sell to us - there is a for sale section of this board you can post one time to and you can promote yourself one time in the promote forum, but after that, don't try to sell your ebook to us again.

I can appreciate that English is likely not your first language and it appears there is a communication gap going on here, which is why I've not said something again sooner.
