Regret?
So I was curious, is anybody up with the regret contest? How many of you have submitted your entry or are going to?
I am trying my best to finish my story, but damn it's getting tough
Michy if you are out there, reading this, can there be a leeway of just 1 day? Sorry if I sound like always asking extensions and always being a lazy
writer (which in fact I am

I submitted a couple of things for this one.
However, I admit I'm still more focused on what's going to happen with the "sorrow" theme, which I enjoyed very much, as well as some poetry from last
year's themes. So, I'm checking in here every day and keeping my fingers crossed.

With Lynn's birthday being the Friday and with EofD so close to being finished, I won't have time to contact judges and compile anything until July
5th. If anyone still wants to enter, you have until Monday at midnight July 5th. If you already sent one and need to edit or tweak, just send the
revised one by then, with the word REVISED in all caps in the subject line after the normal subject line the contest requires, and I'll replace it!
The winners of the last content will be announced on Tuesday of next week.
Love and stuff,
Michy

Wonderful, because I forgot yesterday was the last day of the month. I thought it was today.
You'll have one from me.

I did too, Mel. And I had so much to do yesterday, I just threw my hands up. NOW, however, I WILL have an entry. Polished, prepped, ready to go.

Thanks, Michelle.

For some reason, I can't get the link to work to go the submission guidelines for poetry.
I'm looking at this page at the bottom.

Is it just me, or is the link not working?

It was a dark and stormy night... when a mysterious stalker suddenly kidnapped several writers who failed to meet the contest deadline. They were

Okay, writers, LOOK OUT! My newest entry is done, and it's another chess-ish story. Of course, it was somewhat of a rush job, so it may not be ALL
it could be, but it's definitely an entry!

I'm glad you got your entry in! I just now sent mine in, as well. I waited to re-edit, and I'm glad I did! Caught some minor errors. Honestly,
this newest probably isn't a contender, but it got me writing, and that's the important part!
Good luck!

Indeed! I'm excited to read some of the entries. Regret is very personal. Even in fiction.

With the dead line extended by a week, and it usually taking at least a month for the judging, I'd bet it'll be a couple of weeks before we hear
results. I'm trying not to start looking for them yet.

Yeah, well... don't burst my bubble and break my crayons with such rational conclusions.
Edited to add: A little birdie just told me to look for results on the blog on Monday, August 2nd. Yay!
It also said no more monthly contests after 2010. So, now I am curious
about the changes for 2011...

We are not getting rid of the contests - we are, however, changing how we are doing them - but you don't have to worry about that until 2011.
I want to focus more on Unsent Letters and start doing Recipes & Recovery next year, and I won't have time to do the contests and the books I want to
do for that. So instead of monthly contests, we'll be doing less frequent contests - and I'll explain soon how that will work.
However, we will still have UL and R&R for folks to submit to as well - and I really think these two projects are going to be HUGE, so it will
help.
We are also going to be accepting open submissions for a once-yearly horror anthology too.
So there will still be plenty of ways to get published through TTM - we're just changing the format of it!
Love and stuff,
Michy

probably sooner.
