Could you check a link please?

My husband and I tried to apply online for his unemployment benefits today. Our town no longer has an office. The nearest is in Wichita. He got a pamphlet on what he was supposed to do and it gave the online address or a phone number. We tried the link over and over again. It kept saying the link was broken or couldn't be found. He finally called to set it up, but he has to check in on a weekly basis, so we are hoping to do it online. The lady he talked to on the phone hadn't heard about any problems with the website. I just tried again and the same thing. I haven't had problems with any other sites, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Would y'all try this link and tell me if it is going through for you?

http://uibenefits.dol.ks.gov/

Thanks

Didn't work for me, Cindy. But when I clicked google's alternate link: https://www.uibenefits.dol.ks.gov/ it took me there. Looks like the only difference is the www.

It works every time for me. Is your popup blocker on. If so, turn it off and retry.

Very strange. I can get to that site. I clicked on services and got there. I clicked on unemployment filing and got the same broken link message.

Thanks for trying though. It's frustrating me tonight. I'll just try again tomorrow.

Are you using Internet Explorer? Most gov sites require it.

It's a security issue, Cyndee - the links you're trying to access are httpS:// links - the S is a secure link, which makes sense for a government site with money information.

Try using a different browser (like FF, IE, Chrome, etc) and see if one of the other browsers works - if you'll tell me which browser you're using, I'll help you change the security on it.

Love and stuff,
Michy
