Wisegeek

Hi all, anyone has any experience applying or writing for Wisegeek? How to apply to them and do they accept writers from outside of USA?

I tried to applied to DS but apparently they only accept writers from USA, UK, and Canada. :(

Lydya, I applied (from Germany) and was accepted for the first testing round but failed ... *sniff* They pay the test articles, though. When I remember correctly, you will have to complete three batches of three test articles each and they decide after each batch if you are accepted to the next round.

I wish you good luck with them!!! If you make it to the test articles, make sure you read lots of articles before writing your own. Mine were written a bit too different ...

And wish me luck for Bright Hub too! I just applied again because my account was deactivated due to inactivity. Sucks! :(

Good luck applying to wisegeek. I am usually always approved at any site I have to give samples of my writing for (editors usually think I am good enough), but not wisegeek. I had been writing quite a bit for brighthub. An editor once took an assignment from me and gave it to someone else without even telling me. That has never happened to me on any site, so if I don't soon do some more writing for them, they may pull my account for inactivity too.

I was less than thrilled to work for someone who would do that and not even tell me until I asked, so I haven't done anything for them in more than a month.
