Mhmm... Must practice romance writing more frequently.

Thanks for the stats. I liked the one that showed a large percentage of readers visited author websites.

Hi JessicaJohnny. Welcome to Accentuate Writers. How about going to the introductions thread and tell us more about yourself and what you write. For instance, you say you write 'romantic articles'. Do you perhaps mean stories? I'm sure you can find help and advice on here if you are sincere about being a writer.

To say nothing of the fact that 'romance articles' probably wouldn't do too well in the romance market. :D

I thought it was probably a high school kid who couldn't write very well, but I was willing to be generous and offer to help, after pointing out she/he needed to take an english comp class.

I'm always wondering what the best price is to offer my ebooks at.

I had them at .99 on Amazon for a while. Had a few takers. But then, after revising them after learning a few more formatting tweaks, and fixing a few other flaws, I put them up to $2.99. They call 2.66 a floor price and question the quality . . . I don't know. I'm still learning and tweaking. All For The Love Of Thomi is a rather long book, so I really feel .99 is giving her away. I used to have my stuff priced at $7.97 on my websites, but I've dropped them to the $3 range too. I had a few sales at the $8 range. About as many as for the .99 range.

Of course, I need to promote them all more . . . another learning curve ongoing.

Interesting. What I noticed most of all? The fact that the much-maligned south seems to have the highest fiction readership in America - not only in romance but other categories as well. Now the question is ... would the readership in the south want to read more about their part of the nation or would they rather escape to the big cities of the north and west? Brings up a lot of questions.

That is actually a really good point, wordsmith. I wonder...

I seemed to be looking down from an immense height upon a twilit grotto, knee-deep with filth, where a white-bearded daemon swineherd drove about with his staff a flock of fungous, flabby beasts whose appearance filled me with unutterable loathing.

Just keep writing and the good stuff will come.
