http://guerrillawarfareforwriters.blogspot.com/2016/07/publishers-i...

My girlfriend is a blessing as a co-author. We're half way through a great romance story at the present (a first for me). I'm really diggin' in it.

Luv ya all,

Chris

Thanks hunter,

GF and I have blizted through a romance novel from 7-1-2016 and have arrived at 54,000 words and 178 pages. She is a very strict copy-editor and I thank God I'm blessed with her every day.

A good editor that you feel comfortable with and can work well with is worth his/her weight in gold and then some!

I'm glad you have one! Everyone should find one!

Hi, guys. I've been hard pressed to rewrite most of the romance novel. This blog post will tell you why I hit so many snags. Michy! Are you doing okay health-wise? Hope so.

Almost all the romance publishers I've noted want HEA or HFN endings.... tragic and unresolved doesn't 'do it' for most, I guess... or else it sort of falls under a different genre. Glad you learned so much though! It'll go with you in other works!

I'm doing all right. I fell the other night, bruised and banged up, but more concerned about why I fell--sort of passed out. It's like the air isn't getting to my body right.

Anyway... how's your health? Any new tests? Have they scheduled a V/Q scan for you?

Sorry to hear about the spill, Michy. Hope you don't have a repeat. Please take care of yourself.

I have a HEA. I don't believe out of all the books I've written I have any other. Yes, blunders galore.

My Medicare kicks in Oct 1rs so I'll go for blood tests and workup for a hernia operation, as soon as the can get me in. That's the biggest problem right--pretty bad. No scan. I'll have to take one thing at a time as far as priority.

It's a been awhile, so excuse my absence. It's the health issues thing and it's getting more complicated. The pain doesn't want to let go. I'm taking things rather slow and preparing to get on the right Medicare plan, since I now qualify for it. What a tangled Web! I know nothing about the plans and what they offer. I did get a letter that said I qualify for Extra Help, which I believe is a med discount.

Michy, if you are experienced with such matters, perhaps I better exchange emails with you. And gawd, I hope you are feeling better. A big hello to all the members here. Here is a latest blog post:

Hi, folks. I hope everyone is in fine fettle. Here's something a little atypical of what I usually post about. I thought it was relevant nevertheless.

WRITER'S HEALTH: AN EXCEPT FROM A DISCUSSION.

Writers and Health
SOME NOTES EXPLAINING MY CURRENT HEALTH ISSUES.

First exam went will, if a bit painful, but the next stage will be working the torn hernias that are likely to pose problems as far as the space needed for the prostrate shave or removal process. It's a bit crowded down there for the room to work; def going to ask to be put under for this entire procedure, and expect them to get as much done as possible. They might do the prostrate surgery then hand me off to a hernia specialist (another out patient facility where I'll have to start the process all over again). I''m afraid of this massive trade off to specialists, who will have their own payments plans with extra medication that i probably won't need.

FYI: Do not sit at your computer eight to 10 hours a day (year after year) without breaking and walking about for a good 15 minutes. Keep you legs circulating via swift walks or massage. Perform full body stretching and neck rotations. Tale deep breaths outside and then relax you heart. Take one aspirin everyday without fail, and stop smoking. Blood clots show no mercy when they break free and travel to the heart, lungs in brains where they can cause serious vein and arterial blockages that can kill you.

Stroke and pulmonary embolism kills 1/3 of it victims. Don't EVEN give it a chance. This goes for driving trucks long distances, secretarial work, airline flights and other static positions. Bluntly, if your job requires you to sit on yous ass all day, you're in serious consideration for a clot in the lower legs. Kidney stones are another problem and nearly as serious. Be attentive to the silent killers who are waiting in the wings. Don't give them the chance. Start early on your health regime and stay with it. Stay mobile and eat the proper foods. You'll be glad you did.

chris.

I can't agree more or stress this enough! PEs are DEADLY. I'm very lucky to be alive. GEt up, move around, stretch the legs. It might not have been what caused my problem, but it sure didn't help it. Now that I"m on blood thinners, I HAVE to keep doing this so the clots don't form on the tip of my filter.

Keep spreading this news, Chris! You might save a life!

I hope you get through this easily and as pain free as possible. Please, please, keep us in the loop.

Love you, dude!

Michy

Thanks, Michy. Yes, we're lucky we made it through such an horrendous circumstance. My health issues have intensified--specialists visits, 911 and other such trials. Sorry I've been away. BTW, I'm only on aspirin now--no thinners. Digitoxin has tripled in price!!!
