Well, I ended up going back in and doing another 500 or so words last night after I posted, and I got about 3100 in today. 19,569 to go...that doesn't
seem to daunting, does it? About 2800 per day...

Glad to see you are still trekking! I caught back up again today - I hate being behind!
wOOt!
I seemed to be looking down from an immense height upon a twilit grotto, knee-deep with filth, where a white-bearded daemon swineherd drove about
with his staff a flock of fungous, flabby beasts whose appearance filled me with unutterable loathing.

I'm not going to hit 50k today like I thought I would. The flu hit me last night and threw my whole schedule out the window. Luckily I'm ahead
enough that I can get away with under 1k a day and still make goal. I was really hoping to be finished before the kids get out of school tomorrow
though. I can't think straight when they're loud and excited about the holidays. Luckily, the hubby will be home for 4 days to wrangle them in.

It's okay, Christie.... health is more important, and you're still going to hit it!
I got a lot done last night, sorta zoning on it.... need to update my word counts. I've really blown this year off. Too much other stuff going on in
my life this year.

Hey, is anybody going the NaNo YWP? I am, because when I made my account my b-day hadn't passed yet
Some of the kids on there are crazy. One of them is going for 250,000 words. And won. With 112%.

My son is 14... the YWP is for people 13 and below - but he isn't up to the adult NaNo, so I put him on the YWP this year and last year.
He's doing a fan fiction for Harry Potter, but hey, if it gets him writing, I'm all for it!

Stick a fork in me. Nope, that isn't an incorrect word count. This month has sucked big time with illness all around.
But, I am going to continue writing the darn thing and I am going to try to at least make it half way by monday.
And I will finish it!

Whew, I just passed 40k. I have a lot to do in the next few days, but the end is definitely in sight! I'm worried I'll run out of plot and finish the
story before 50k, so I might have to go back and fluff some things out.

I'm so glad, Jennifer! This is awesome - I have never done anything like this, and I will for SURE be back to do it next year!

I did it.
I'm amazed at myself, but couldn't break my winning streak. I've done pretty much nothing but write on my NaNo for the past five days. (Well, and
eat turkey.) I hit a major groove Thursday evening and FLEW. Ended up with over 80k words.
WOW!
I am soooo fried.....

HOLY COW, Melanie! 80k is insane! YOU GO, GRILL!
I stayed up late as *** and hit 48k last night, I will finish today most likely, and I'm pretty proud of that. I thought the 12k short story I wrote
was long - sheesh!
50k, here I come!

does everyone get the main emails from nano, specifically today' s by Piers Anthony? he said 60,000 a month was par for him in his heyday or writing
3,000 a day..
i am over that most months I crank out for this little crap and making about 1,000 a month when I could have a freaking book. I so wish I did not
have to support my self, so I could write the stuff i wanta write.. I knwo that day is forth coming but I so badly want it now. I hate getting lost
in this low paying crap so I can survive ... momma gotta do it so we all can have this smoke stained roof over our heads, food in our bellies and
shoes on our feet.

That was a great pep talk from Piers Anthony! I love him.
I did about 3000 today, 500 more than I intended, so I only have 2000 left to do tomorrow! I'd run out of plot, but I came up with a development today
that will fill out the book nicely. Yay!

To all of you Accentuate NaNo's
I am so proud of all of you!!!
Now please share this experience with the rest of us.
What does it feel like?
Did you complete 50K words?
If so, hom many a day or week or how did it work for you
If not, what was the block?
Did you become ill, like Rissa, did you run out of what to say?
Did life get in the way?
All of this will be helpful for those of us thinking...next year for me!!
What are you planning to do with what you wrote?
Did I say I am so proud of you???

I didn't do very good at all. I found that I don't really want to write the story anymore. Plus I've been doing aot of other writing. I just like
doing my short stories better. I'll probably eventually go back to that one sometime.
Congrats to everyone who made it!

I finished on Thanksgiving after being struck by the flu last week, and then laryngitis hit on Friday.
I still have several chapters (at least) before the story is finished, but I'm at the point where I need to think about it a bit before closing things
up for the ending.
It will be several months before I'm finished with it completely.

Good luck Carla! But the NaNoWriMo challenge only takes place for the month of November. There are other similar challenges though, I believe!
