I recently bought a bunch of "Weird Tales" horror/sci-fi rags on eBay. If you are looking to be a successful horror/sci-fi writer, these magazines are
second to none in quality!
The stories inside showcase what GOOD writing should look like. Concise, to the point writing with little or no extraneous information. They get in,
hit hard, and get out.
I super-duper highly recommend getting a few of these! I originally wanted to collect them because I am a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan, and this very rag
was where he got his start! The fiction writing is absolutely gorgeous in these, and they are dirt cheap. I scored one actual magazine and TWO big
books of Weird Tales for like fifteen dollars.
There are also a bunch of interviews with very successful writers in these publications. I am reading one now with Dean Koontz which contains very
good information!

UPDATE: I have just purchased more of these on Amazon.com! It is actually a hardback book of Weird Tales. 600 pages worth, in fact. It supposedly
conatains tons of stories from the late 1800s to the early 1900s - my favorite era!
The price? A whopping $6.50, including shipping. How can you beat that?

My collection is growing steadily! I now have like eight of the magazines, and 2 full anthologies (400+ pages a piece!). Needless to say, I go to
bed creeped out a lot hahaha!
Again, if you like "odd" type short stories, these publications are for you! They can be found dirt cheap, too. Just check eBay and Amazon.
