Movie Reviewers and Film Critics

I'm looking to hire at least 2 people to write 2 movie reviews a week each for a movie review website I just purchased. I'll provide a byline, bio, and photo page for each contributor, and I'll also pay $25 per 400-600 word movie review. (I prefer to pay via PayPal.) For that I buy exclusive Internet rights, but you can republish any movie reviews you write offline anywhere you want - I just want exclusive Internet rights.

If you're interested, I'd like to receive the following: a cover letter, a resume, a sample review of a movie, a list of your 10 favorite movies in 2008, and a list of some of your favorite directors and movies of all time and why.

My email address is randyray AT gmail DOT com.

Randy, are these reviews for any movies, or are they weekly assignments?

I am kind of interested (read: very interested) in this position, but I am finishing my Master's degree and won't have time for this for the next ~6 weeks while I finish my comprehensive exams.

Is there a time limit on this which will render me ineligible, or should I submit anyway?

They would be assignments, but we'd try to work it out so that they were movies you were actually interested in.

I'd very much appreciate it if you could submit anyway. I have high hopes for the site, and I'd eventually like to have enough contributing reviewers to review all the new movies that come out every weekend.

I'm new to this site, and honestly, right now it looks like i reached this forum way too late, but anyway, are you still looking for new writers Randy?
