NaNo Graphs and Charts

Just thought I'd post some helpful tools to keep you on track for NaNoWriMo.

A simple, printable line graph for NaNo -- http://lasoubrette.webs.com/nano_graph.pdf

An Excel NaNo tracker -- http://joytoykid.org/misc/nano/ (Click on Nano2009 one and it will open in Excel for ya)

And this very exciting looking thing -- http://nanowrimo.nidonocu.com

You know what we need for NaNo- I mean YOU need because I am not doing it. (shut up Michy)

Is that program that goes red when you stop typing for a certain amount of time and goes all kamikaze and deletes words in the extreme mode? Remember that program?

Thanks for sharing, those will come in handy! I have something to share as well, if anyone's interesting in free novel-writing software:

http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter.html

I find it quite handy sometimes - it lets you organise scenes, chapters, characters etc, much easier than if you've got it all in one big Word file.

Svenja, I saw that and wondered if it was very useful. Glad for the feedback, I think I'll download it and try it out.

I simply printed out a calendar and put the word count for each day on it, along with what it should be. These are much fancier! :)

I seemed to be looking down from an immense height upon a twilit grotto, knee-deep with filth, where a white-bearded daemon swineherd drove about with his staff a flock of fungous, flabby beasts whose appearance filled me with unutterable loathing.

It's a pretty simple word processor, it doesn't have as many add-ons and functions as Word, but on the plus side that means less distractions. I've found it pretty good for organising a longer piece - fitting scenes together and putting them into chapters, compiling notes and character lists, that kind of thing. I like being organised.
