How and where to get my songs published??
Hi, I write lot of songs, and people apprecaite them as well, so it gave me the confidence that maybe i can get them published. However i also write
short stories and essays as well. But the thing that drives all my imagination is song writing. But I don't know where to start sending my work, and
how. If you can guide me i will be obliged thanks.

This article:
http://musicians-resources.suite101.com/article.cfm/getting_your_so...
has some good links to some places to send songs and such.
one thing you can do, Gregg sales songs to bands all the time - he writes songs, both lyrics and music and orchestration of the instruments, and then
he sells the entire written song to a local band with agreement for attribution while they get the licensed rights to it.
If you know local bands, you might consider offering to sell to them to get started. Make a name for yourself, and then others will want you to write
for them too.
It's kinda like the difference between a freelance writer and a best selling novelist - sometimes you start off writing locally and slowly and then
you move up. In the meantime, you query the big boys.
Good luck to you and keep writing fiction too!
Love and stuff,
Michy

There are quite a few musicians on Taxi.com who are active in promoting music as songwriters. I dont' think there are many who are looking only for
lyrics but it's worth a shot.
